The Aston DVD series The Aston DVDs were developed by Aston, and award winning American short film producer, Sean Sanzcel to engage, encourage and educate. They are action rather than dialogue based and the dialogue they contain is intentionally not translated or subtitled so that children gain further exposure to English outside the classroom and a chance to “guess” meaning from context and gestures used by characters. This method of learning is supported by modern academic research into childrens’ learning styles that shows that kids tend to learn something more quickly if they are engaged in or interested in it.
