AbstractObjective To observe the efficacy and discuss the mechanism of Dragons Blood in the treatment of active ulcerative colitis and clinicalexperimental investigation.MethodsExperimental research methods ： 60 SD rats were randomly divided into 5 groups-blank group, control group and the low, medium and high- concentration Dragons Blood group。The blank group was given nothing, the control group, low, medium and high concentration ofDragons Blood group were given 3% DSS solution free drink 7 days, resulting in acute UC model。After the modeling, every day the blank group and control group given normal saline 4ml / only by gavage ，andthe other groups were given oral Dragons Blood treated with different concentrations of the compound 4ml / only by gavage were fed for 7 days. Rats were killed, the model DAI, HI rate, measured the expression of plasma PAF and PF4 and observed the pathology of rectum and colon.Clinical research methods：68 patients with blood stasis type ofMild-to-moderate UC were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, All patients oral SASP tablets, 1g tid ， 33 cases in treatmented group treated with Dragons Blood enema at bedtime and 32cases in controlled group treated with Hydrocortisone sodium succinate enema at bedtime.Both groups were treated for one months andthen six month follow-ups. Evaluated the clinical efficacy, improvement of TCM symptoms and adverse reactions.ResultsExperimental research results：The DAI, HI and the expression of plasma PAF and PF4 of blank group,and low, medium and highconcentration of Dragons Blood group compared with the control group was statistically significant（P＜0.05）; control group,and low, medium and high concentration of Dragons Blood group compared with the blank group was statistically significant（P＜0.05）; Low, medium and high concentration of the Dragons Blood group was not significant between the two groups （ P ＞ 0.05 ）。 Although the low, medium and high concentration of the Dragons
