AbstractChinesereadingteachingisacourseofdialoguesamongthestudents,theteachers,thetextsandtheauthors.EachofourChineseteachershoulddevelopabilityofstudentinquiringandthesenseofcreative,improvetheirreadinginterest,andformagoodreadinghabitfortheirlifelonglearning.Teachingreadingforalongtimefallsintoexamination-orientededucationsystem,whichmakesChinesereadingteachinglimited.Studentsarelockedintextbooksandlotsofexercises.Theirnarrowrangeofreadinghorizonsandknowledge,andtheirabsenceofhumanitymakesculturequalitiesdecline.Accordingtotheaboveviews,extendedreadinginclassisafeasibleandworkablestyleofteachingreading.ThispaperisbasedoncurriculumstandardsofChineseforfull-timestudentsofcompulsoryeducation.ItadvancesthetheoryandthepracticesystemofExtendedReadingTeachinginChineseClass,whichisfrommiddleschoolstudents’psychologyandneedofreading.ItfocusesonhowtocarryoutextendedreadingteachinginChineseclass,analysisofcurrentsituation,andstrategyresearch..Thepaperfallsintofiveparts.InPartOne,itformulatesdenotativeandconnotativeontherelevantconceptsofExtendedReadingTeachinginChineseClass,andraisessometheoryevidenceofextendedreadingteaching,suchasconstructivism,schematheory,andsoon.InPartTwo,itpointsouttheproblemsinthereadingteachingnow,andadvantagesandproblemsincarryingoutextendedreadinginclassatthepresent.InPartThree,itanalysesthemeaningofextendedreadingteachingresearchinChineseclass.Itgivesaminutedescriptionofprinciplesandmethodsabouthowtochooseextendedreadingmaterials.Itillustratesthemeansandprinciplesofextendedreadingteachingwithspecificexamples,andoffersthedemonstrate.InPartFour,Itelaboratesthemethodsofextendedreadingteachinginthecontextofmodernnetwork.IttakesclassicalChineseteachingandteachingmodelofcomprehensivepracticecourseinnetworkconditionsforexample,toreflectadvantagesanddisadvantagesoftheteaching.InPartFive,itsuggestsprincipleandmeasuresofevaluationaboutextendedreadingteachingonpracticalexperienceandindirectexperience.Keyword:juniorhighChinesereadingteachingextendedreadinginc
