摘 要
经典诵读在我国传统教育中发挥着不可替代的作用，自古以来就被作为语
言学习的重要教学方式。新的国家教学大纲重新提出“经典诵读’’这一重要教育
理念，这既是对教育教学本质的回归，又是对其现实意义的充分认识与肯定。经
典作为一种对时代呼声的回应，人们开始重新思考它的价值。本文采用对比实验、
课堂观察、访谈和调查问卷的方法从中国儿童经典诵读的现状着手，对照传统的
儿童英语学习方法，对经典诵读和目前儿童英文学习进行了比较，探索经典诵读
方法对小学生英语教学的影响。研究发现，经典诵读不仅开发儿童的专注力、记
忆力和理解力等方面的潜能，而且对在提高英语学习兴趣和学习效率、培养英语
语感和提升英语表达能力等方面都有显著效应。
