ABSTRACTBecauseofitsuniquepulsecurrent,PulseMIGweldinghastheexcellenceoflessspatter,allpositionwelding,achievingautomaticcontroleasily,niceweldjointandhighweldingquality,andhasbecomeahighlyefficient,highqualityweldingmethod.Whentheweldingcurrentislessthanspray-transfercriticalcurrent,PulsedMIGweldingcanachievestablespray-transferdropletandcanweldvariedmetalthicknesses,itiswidelyusedespeciallyinthefieldofaluminumalloymaterial.AsthePulseMIGweldingautomationdegreeishigherandhigher,foradjustmentproblemsofnumerouspulsingparameters,thispapercomesupwithsynergiccontrolmethod,optimizespulsingparametersofarcenergy,realizestableeffectofonepulsewithonedroplet,andincreasestabilityofarc,toimprovefurtherweldingprocessperformance.Newprocessputforwardhigherrequirementsforweldingequipment,inordertomeettherequirementsofhigherweldingquality.PulseMIGweldinginverterpowercontrolsystemisdesignedinthispaper,basedonthedigitalsignalcontrollerdsPIC30F6010.Themaincircuitconsistsoffull-bridgeinverterwithIGBT,theinverterpowermakeuseofPWMmoduleinsideofDSPchiptogivefourunattachedpulseswhichdrivesIGBTtoclose.Withdutycycleofinverteradjusted,thedynamiccharacteristicsoftheinverterpowerwillbechanged.Inchapterofhardwarecircuit,itdescribesdesignofinverterswitchdrivingcircuit,protectioncircuitandfeedercontrolcircuitindetail.Inpartofsoftware,Weldingmainprogram,peak/baseprogram,PIcontrolprogramandinitializationprogram,etc,arecompiledinmodularizationprogramming.BasedontheanalysisofpulseMIGweldingdroplettransitionbehavior,thispaperbroughtforwardwaveformofpulsecurrentwithdualslope,toenhancedropletcontrollability.Thesystemachievescurrentandarclengthclosedloopcontrolbysoftware.Thecurrentloopcontrolscurrentwavefine,thatgetstheonedropletperpulse.Thevoltageloopcontrolsarclength,getsteadyarcandimprovethearclengthconsistency.TheresultsoftheexperimentshowthatthepulseMIGinverterwithwellcontrolabilityofdroplettransferrealizesonedropletperpulseandhasthehigharclengthconsistencybasedonthedsPIC30F6010chip.Keywords:pulseMIGwe
