I I ABSTRACT Changquan is compiled by Chinese Wushu Management Center of the State Sports Bureau, which introduces basic standard actions such as traditional Chinese martial techniques of fists, palms, elbow, steps, footwork, balance, jumping and so on. According to motion mode of Changquan, the book includes all sets of techniques such as jumping, dodging, spreading, moving, and changing, which stresses on developing independent, strong and regiment Chinese martial culture. Since Chinese versions of martial arts translation are few, the State Bureau promotes the translation of this series of traditional Wushu books in high standard and quality. Based on communicative purpose of Skopos Theory, the author uses both literal translation and free translation to overcome translating difficulties in consideration of three features and four big problems of Wushu translation. Furthermore, the author deeply realizes that in order to translate the original into authentic English, translators should not only understand the original text, the precise gesture of the action, but also possess excellent language skills. Key words: Wushu; Skopos Theory; Literal translation; Free translation 摘要 摘 要 III III 《长拳》是由国家体育总局武术研究院组编，介绍中国传统武术拳法、掌法、肘法、 步法、脚法、平衡、跳跃等基本动作规格化，按照长拳运动方法编成包括窜、蹦、跳、 跃、闪、展、腾、挪和起伏转折在内的各种拳械套路。着重弘扬自立、自强、健体养生 的中国武术文化。鉴于中国武术文化译本在国际上甚少，国家体育局要求将此系列传统 武术文化高标准高质量地翻译到国外。在此次翻译任务中，笔者运用目的论中的交际目 的，并结合武术翻译的三大特点和四大难点，采取直译与意译并用的策略解决翻译问题。 从中深刻体会到要将高度凝练的武术原文翻译成地道的英语，不仅要深刻地理解汉语原 文中的意思，每招每式准确的发功部位，而且还要具备深厚的语言功底。 关键词：武术; 目的论; 直译; 意译 目录 目 录 HYPERLINK \l _bookmark25 HYPERLINK \l _bookmark2
