从中西文化差异的角度分析翻译的技巧 　　【摘 要】在汉英翻译过程中我们不可避免地会遇到一些不可翻译的词或表达，这是因为文化差异对翻译有着关键性的影响。当使用一些翻译策略和比较方法来翻译一些文化时，我们会发现成功的翻译，就是要注意到文化差异的细节，使它符合文章的原滋原味，传达文化信息。因此翻译实际上是文化转换的过程。本文讨论了避免文化差异造成误译的方法。 　　【关键词】翻译 文化差异 影响 文化障碍 　　【中图分类号】H315.9 【文献标识码】A 【文章编号】1674－4810（2011）15－0049－02 　　 　　Ⅰ Introduction 　　Language is a part of culture and the carrier. Translation needs language, so translators should think about various differences between Chinese and western cultures in the process of translation to get the appropriate translation. This article discusses the influence of cultural differences on translation―a cross－cultural communication event. In this paper, I will analyze the influence the culture exerts on translation from the aspects of the translation of idioms, the translation of poems, the translation of image and function’s words, etc. How to avoid these translation problems which was caused by the cultural differences is another important point we will settle in this paper. 　　Ⅱ What is A Good Translation 　　Translation is, in fact, a converting process. Theoretically, a good translation should give its reader the same conception as what a native reader gets from the original. 　　Nida remarked that how to determine a good translation is the response of the receptor to the translated message, and this message must then be compared with the way in which the original receptors presumably reacted to the message when it was given in its original setting. 　　Ⅲ The Interrelationship Between Culture and Language 　　Culture embraces almost everything in the world, whether material or spiritual. But however complex, culture can roughly be divided into three categories: material culture, institutional culture and mental culture. 　　Language, which possesses all the features of culture, belongs to institutional culture.
