Acknowledgements My study at Henan University will soon come to an end and, at the completion of my graduation thesis I wish to express my sincere appreciation to all those who have offered me invaluable help during the two years of my graduate study here. I I II II ABSTRACT This is a translation report on Encyclopedia of Contemporary Literary Theory: Approaches, Scholars, Terms. The translator selects some terms of the third part to put into translation practice, and then draw a conclusion from the translation process and difficulties. Encyclopedia of Contemporary Literary Theory as an indispensable tool for literary theorists, historians, scholars and students who study the contemporary literary criticism and culture, has no Chinese version so far. Therefore the translation has certain innovation. If the translation could be published later, many domestic scholars and readers can study and research in this field with this translation. This report is mainly divided into five parts: Part One is the translation project description, including translation task source, th
