II II Biostratigraphy of the Cambrian - Ordovician in Yingzi Benxi Abstract Liaoning is located in the southern part of the northeast China, which is an important transportation hub in northeast provinces. Benxi is a mountain city, located in east-central Liaoning. Geographical coordinates is in E 23°34′ to 125°46′, N 40°49′ to 41°35′, an average altitude of about 350m. A total area of 8411 km2, shape is long and narrow dumbbell. Benxi is located on the east side of the Liaohe river plain in the mountain, the district from the point of view of landscape is an isolated basins. Taizihe is the most important rivers in Benxi, moving from east to west, and finally into the Loathe river into the sea. Cambrian and Ordovician in the region structure is relatively stable, strata exposed widely, both wings in synclinal area. The Benxi area exposed strata are mainly distributed in southern Taizihe Basin and Huanren. Fossils are very rich, Cambrian including trilobites, archaeocyathan, brachiopods, gastropods, ostracoda, algae and conodont, etc. Ordovician is given priority to with cephalopods, followed by the conodont, brachiopods, gastropods, trilobites, graptolites, etc. The main object of study is Cambrian - Ordovician strata and fauna in Benxi Liaoning, the study area Yingzi located in Benxi Taizihe Basin, sequence division is more clear, strata exposed widely and continuously, is the study of stratigraphic sequence, sedimentary facies and fauna ideal area. The author went to Yingzi, Baishilazi, Huolianzai, Xiangmo for field geological survey in 2012. Measured section is Baishilazi, refer to the relevant section two, namely Erdaogou N Yingzi Benxi section and Luotuolazi Yingzi section. Systematic classificated the fossil specimens collected from the study area, described fossil 11 genera and 12 species.
