II Abstract Orienteering is a sport that using a accurate map and a compass and according to the order of various points shown on the map to marked all the points on the shortest time as a winner, is a natural sport which sets of intellectual and physical. In this paper, on the basis of searching extensive literature information, investication object: the students in Hainan University where launch Orienteering: Hainan University、Hainan Normal University Hainan Medical College、Hainan Vocational College of Political Science and Law、Hainan College of Economics and Business、Qiongtai Teachers College and forty-five Hainan Normal University students participated in the optional course of orienteering, comprehensive use of questionnaires, expert interviews、statistics、experiment research method and so on to analysis of the situation of the orienteering in Hainan University and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions. The results show that: At present, Orienteering in Hainan Province relatively low penetration, and the extent of penetration exists of large imbalance; compared with the category domestic institutions , materials and equipment of Orienteering in Hainan Province drop behind, orientation teachers and cartographer deficiency; although the course of orienteering has a relatively complete system, but compared with the category domestic institutions, the teaching level huge difference, and the teaching effectiveness is to be improved; course evaluation system is unity, course evaluation lack scientific standards.experimental and control groups by Student body Comparative study of popular schools orienteering, orienteering course of conduct consistent with effects of Physical Education Curriculum requirements.Enhance the student body on a significant role Through the analysis of the conclusions, now we have such suggestion: Stepping up propaganda efforts, improving leadership and the student s’ cognitive on orientation;
