II II 英文摘要 对初二学生解决轴对称图形问题的研究 The research on students’ performance in solving problems of axially symmetric figure in junior two Abstract According to the mathematics curriculum standards on compulsory education in 2011 edition, the curriculum consists of “number and algebra” “graphics and geometry” “statistics and probability” “comprehensive and practice”. Studies have shown that geometry is one of the most difficult subjects for middle school students. Especially for students in junior two, they always have poor performance in learning axially symmetric figure. In view of this,the research here intends to investigate the phenomenon in depth. During the course of study, an examination was taken to measure the students’ level in solving the related problems. With the answer sheet and the students’ review, I can better analyze the real performance and the kinds of mistakes of them. What’s more, taking the mathematical psychology into account, a questionnaire survey was applied to measure the students’ motivation and meta-cognition. In this way, the explanation provided can be more accurate and comprehensive. With all these methods, I get the conclusion that the main obstacles and difficulties in solving problems of axially symmetric figure for students in junior two can be divided into four categories: 1. The students may misunderstand the related concepts and theorems. 2. With the help of intuition, students cannot make a proof correctly. 3. In solving the problems, students prefer to prove congruent triangles instead of using theorems of axially symmetric figure. 4. The awareness of checking the answer and monitoring the process of problem solving is lacked, thus some low errors can be made. Based on this conclusion, I put forward some strategies to solve the problem for reference.
