华 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II II Abstract Among recent lunar orbiters, both the Chinese Chang’E-1 (CE-1) and the Chinese Chang’E-2 (CE-2) were equipped with microwave sounder to measure the natural microwave emission from the lunar surface. The microwave emission, characterized by a frequency-dependent brightness temperature (TB), is related to the physical temperature and dielectric properties of the lunar surface. By measuring the brightness temperature at different frequencies, detailed thermal behavior and properties of the lunar surface can be retrieved. This thermal information could provide important clues to understand the thermal evolution of the Moon and provide reliable estimation of valuable lunar resources, such as helium-3, due to their dependence on the thickness of regolith. This paper was based on introducing the Chang-E Satellite Microwave Sounder, then did the data comparative analysis for the three sets of microwave radiation brightness temperature data(CE-1 microwave brightness temperature data set, CE-1 calibration of microwave data set,CE-2 microwave brightness temperature data set), which were applied by Lunar group in HUST. It introduced the microwave brightness temperature data acquisition and data processing method, and gave the comparative analysis of the CE observed brightness temperature data. At the same time, it chose Apollo, Copernicus crater and the whole month to compare the three sets of microwave radiation brightness temperature data , then analyzed rich regolith characteristics contained in the microwave data for the later study on regolith properties with the HUST microwave radiation transfer of lunar regolith for brightness temperature model.
