The Analysis of Roundabout’s Capacity and the Measures of Improvement A Dissertation Submitted for the Degree of Master Candidate： Zhang Hainan Supervisor： Prof. Zhang Biqin Chang’an University, Xi’an, China 摘要 环形交叉口在城市道路交通发展中曾发挥过很重要的作用，然而随着城市道路交通 需求的不断增大，环形交叉口的通行效率严重降低，缺点逐渐凸显出来。因此，国内大 范围内的将环形交叉口改造成信号控制十字型交叉口，上世纪八九十年代一哄而上的大 量环形交叉又面临着“全部拆除、一个不留”的命运。但是，目前环形交叉口的拆除、 改造亦或是保留却没有一个明确的标准和评价体系。 本文详细探讨了国内外信号控制十字型交叉口通行能力的几种计算方法，并通过实 例分析，从中比较得出了更适合我国交通现状的通行能力计算方法，同时采用相对比较 成熟的间隙接受理论模型分别对不同控制方式下的环形交叉口通行能力计算方法进行 了探讨，然后分别利用前文中得出的通行能力计算方法对信号控制十字型交叉口和不同 控制方式下环形交叉口的通行能力进行计算比较，得出了在不同左右转比例、进口道车 道布置等交通条件下两种交叉口的通行能力，并通过对两种交叉口通行能力的比较得出 了各自适应的交通量。环形交叉口适应的交通量与十字型相比较小，但环形交叉口在相 同的通行能力下有其独特的特点，应通过综合分析环形交叉口的交通量和环境影响因素 确定环形交叉口的适用条件、拆除的必要性以及改造所需方案。最后，本文根据实例交 叉口的道路交通条件和交通调查数据，利用文中所得出的结论对环形交叉口进行改造， 并对其改造后的效果进行评价。 关键词：环形交叉口，信号控制，通行能力，计算方法，改造 Abstract Roundabouts have played a very important role in the development of the urban traffic. However, with the increasing demand for urban traffic, the traffic efficiency of roundabout is seriously reduced, and the shortcomings is increasingly prominent. Therefore, within the wide range of transforming domestic roundabout into the cross-shaped intersection of signal control, the herd phenomenon roundabouts in the eighties and nineties are facing the fate of all removed, one does not leave. However, the removal, alteration or retained of the roundabout do not have a clear standard and evaluation system. This article discusses several calculation methods of the cross-shaped intersection of signal control at home and abroad, and through case studies, compared the method of capacity calculation that is more suitable for the traffic situation in China.
