From the perspective of semiotics parsing the text symbols used in contemporary art ABSTRACT Symbol as the serviceable tool exists in people s life, Through which people communicate with each other, understand things or transfer knowledge. Text as a symbol also has the same function , and with the artistic border broadening, it has been common in the field of arts . This article will be to parse the text symbols existing in contemporary from the perspective of semiotics, to explore the depth of meaning of text symbols , thus we will have a deeper understanding about the deep meaning of the contemporary text art . Aims to provide a way of thinking and theoretical resources for such research, at the same time hopeing to carved out a new space in the contemporary art for text symbols through this research. This article consists of four parts: First of all is the introduction . Which mainly describes the time background of this topic( it is also the former text of this article ) , the purpose and meaning . The second part does a comb for the theory of symbol and elaborates the origin﹑role ﹑function of the word and some cases of the word art in contemporary briefly. We can find the possibility of this research. The third part is the most important part of this article. Useing symbols text , pre-text and deep accompanying text etc.basic theoretical knowledge of semiotics to analyze the word art work in contemporary. Its purpose is to explore the necessary connection about the formation of the textual works ,time background and cultural history .It is subject to the pressure of cultural context , so that the meaning of the work is not a simple concept as the surface.
