ABSTRACT The secondary pollutions during municipal solid waste (MSW) transportation, such as scattered MSW, odor, noise and leachate, have drawn increasing concern. How to achieve full closure of waste collection and transportation, in essence, to prevent secondary pollution, has become a research hot spot. Building a mathematical model to derive a set of efficient optimization, which could resolve the problem of secondary pollution and meet the environment needs of modern urban life. Based on the broad collection and analysis of relevant information around the world, considering economic and environmental factors, mathematical models are constructed for model optimization to guide practical application. Content include: Research the logistics organization of the direct collection and transportation model of MSW, focusing on the organizational system and operation mechanism of the direct collection and transportation model of MSW. According to the characteristics of MSW, study the direct collection and transportation model of MSW; Study on technology portfolio and devices combination of the direct collection and transportation model of MSW, Exploring the suitable technology, equipment combination mode which fit for the characteristics of Chinese MSW, and do development of some key equipment; Practical application study of MSW direct collection and transportation model of Luohu District, Shenzhen City and Ezhou city Hubei province. Different combinations of technologies and equipments, three different MSW direct collection and transportation models were obtained, named direct transport by compression vehicle、direct transport with miniature compression collect station and direct transport with baler. It is proved by two examples of Luohu District, Shenzhen City and Ezhou city Hubei province that the direct collection and transportation model of MSW will improve the collection, transportation efficiency, reduce cost and maximize the environmental benefits relative to
