School education is the best channel for the inheritance of traditional national sports events; school education is the intermediate link in the gradual perfection of traditional national sports events; school edu-cation is conducive to the formation of the mode of scientific development of traditional national sports. As shown in practice, it is feasible for traditional national sports to enter into the school education system, mainly because: the conceptions of school education agree with traditional national sports spirits; traditional national sports has abundant resources, is the inexhaustible resource treasury of school physical education; traditional national sports events are easy to develop, complementary to modern school education. 　　Key words: school physical education；traditional national sports；school education 　　 　　 　　2002年教育部颁发的《全国普通高等学校体育课程教学指导纲要》中强调，学校体育要做到“民族性与世界性相结合，弘扬我国民族传统体育，汲取世界优秀体育文化，体现时代性、发展性、民族性和中国特色。”[1]2007年在广州举行的第8届全国少数民族传统体育运动会上也展现了一个令人深思的现象：学校体育教学使部分民族传统体育项目得到了快速发展。如湖北参加高脚竞速的土家族选手都来自湖北的民族院校和体育学校。湖北民族学院体育学院为了继承发展高脚马项目，专门组织了运动队，安排高脚马为体育教育专业的必修课；深圳松岗中学将珍珠球、蹴球、板鞋竞速等项目列入了教学训练课程，组织了本校的新疆籍高中班学生参加秋千项目的比赛，并获得了不俗的成绩。民族传统体育与学校教育正形成一种相互依赖、互动发展的局面。 　　 　　1 民族传统体育项目进入学校的必要性 　　1.1 学校是民族传统体育项目传承的最佳渠道 　　我国民族传统体育生存的土壤是
