II II Abstract Ge Lifang was from Jiangyin of Changzhou. He experienced three dynasties of Song Zhe ,Hui, Gao zong. The great change in Song dynasties has accelerated the communication of economic and cultural exchanges between north and south. It also presents a new development opportunity for literature. In Huzhou, a comparatively concentrated poetic practice group was formed centering on Ge Shengzhong and Ye Mengde. Ge Lifang had been living with his father Ge Shengzhong for a long time, so he joined many activities in the group such as writing back and forth by poems between friends and studying in poetry theory. Many of his poetry theory profit from communication in the group. For example, his father impact on his son on the idea that Confucianism can coexist with Buddhism and Taoism. In this period, there is invading from the Jin Dynasty outside and cruel conflict between political parties inside. National conflict and class contradiction were both fierce. However, the JiangXi poetry group which advocating formalistic poetry theory guided literature to a way ignoring reality and focusing on book learning. Ge Lifang dissatisfied with this reality, so he gave his poetry viewpoint in YUN YU YANG QIU: 1, on the function of poems, he emphasized tradition of ‘Xin ji’ in order to attaching importance to the function that poems should reflect the society reality. 2, in the style of poems, he assumed a style like implication, wateriness and naturalness. 3, in way of making poems, he emphasized poet should build their unique sense of worth and appreciation of the beauty in order to make good artwork with high value ant not to be in the situation of plagiarism such as Jiang xi poem group. There are 237 poems remain in GeLifang’s GUI YU JI, including theme like Ke Ju,Shi Huan, Chouchang etc. He like making modern-style poems, there is 196 modern-style poems in his book, about 82%.
