PAGE PAGE 10 Comparative study of non calcified and calcification of fungal sinusitis Clinical data and trace elements in samples Name Han Jiangnan Supervisor Doctor Huang Dingqiang Major Otolaryngology Objective: According to lesions density in CT imaging examination of noninvasive fungal sinusitis patients, we divided noninvasive fungal sinusitis patients into calcification group and non calcified. By studying two groups of patients with fungal species, trace element, lesions density value in CT imaging and fungi susceptible factors, we preliminary studied on the possible risk factors of calcification of noninvasive fungal sinusitis. Methods: Chose the 2008 January to 2012 July in Yaan Peoples Hospital otolaryngology inpatients, according to the standard of inclusion and exclusion, through the pathological diagnosis and imaging diagnosis, divided noninvasive fungal sinusitis patients into calcification group and non calcified, collected the cases’ general clinical data, preoperative endoscopic sinus examination results, medical imaging data, operation data, surgical specimens, pathology results, analyzed the specimens’ trace elements. The specimens were subjected to histopathological examination; Patients were followed up for more than half a year. The main methods: ⑴ Correlation factors were investigated by using the multiple factor Logistic model regression analysis. Found out the most relevant factors associated with noninvasive fungal sinusitis which showed calcification spots or points in CT images. ⑵ For the patients which lesions located in maxillary sinus of non-invasive fungal maxillary sinusitis, according to the CT imaging and operation video data, Determined and accounted the data of natural ostium of maxillary sinus. Chi-square test was used to compare the difference between two groups of patients with natural ostium of maxillary sinus. ⑶ determined two groups of specimens from patients with the content of calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorus.
