Pit Corder and Larry Selinker, the concept of interlanguage was established as learners’ independent system of the second language, which is of neither the native language nor the second language, but a continuum of approximation from one extreme of his native language to the other of the second language. 4.2 Contrastive Analysis Hypothesis It is the synchronic comparison of two languages, for example, English and Chinese.# Problematic# General linguistics pay more attention to lay down the rules for “correct and standard” behavior in using language, to tell people what they should say and what they shouldn’t say.
