At first,this paper introduced the principles and structure of the four-phase hybrid stepper motor,then proposed the basic principles of subdivision driver and method of design based on FPGA,as well够a PWM subdivision technology based on a form look-up method.Secondly,designed each function module by using a top-down design method and Verilog hardware describe language,and synthesized,simulated each module by using Quartus II,then linked,synthesized,realized and simulated the entire subdivision system.Thirdly,introduced the design and production of a FPGA experiment board and a stepper motor power driver based on L298N,then connected ·them together to form a complete stepper motor driver system.Finally,by applying some research On the entire subdivision driver,the oscilloscope waveforms of four-phase hybrid stepper motor which arc under different subdivisions aro given, analyzed the condition and angle data which a∞combined with the waveforms.The experimental results indicated that this stepper motor subdivision driver based on FPGA has a 900d performance on subdivision control,archived 8,1 6,32,64,128,256 subdivisions,and a smooth operation under different subdivisions,then overcame some I shortcomings of classical driver.
