ABSTRACT The research of psychological contract(pc)is hot topic today,and the people of both academic and industrial circles are paying close attention to it．Nevertheless， there is still no a widely accepted definition．Scientific definition of its basic concept is the basis for a complete theoretical system in a field．So，we made some amendments of the pc maintaining by the two main schools，”one side school’’and ”two side school”．At the same time，we made a lot of rearch on articles about pe in abroad and home，and then give our definition about pc，which Can fully reflects the features of pc．At last，we made some distinction between pc and those concepts which similar but very different with pc，S0 as to remove obstacles to future research． The studies of pc in the past were mainly focused on profit—making organization, such as the enterprises，and concemed about the relations between employees and employers．For non—profit organizations，research and application of pc were less，the study of pc between teachers and students in the universities were only in recent years，As it iS a new topic and there were 1ess rearchers，SO there almost no methods we reference on．Combined with the current situation of the colleges and universities in our country,and our advantages in c611eges and universities，we make the rearch of pe between students and teachers in colleges and universities． On our previous research of pc，we first proposed the concept of pc related to university teachers and students，and after summing up the unique characteristics of pe On college teachers and students，put forward the build model of teachers and students’pc，and its content and structure of the dimensions．Secondly,we designed a set of tools for university teachers and students’pc measurement．Then，we conduct empirical research on the pc of teachers and students．In the experimental study,we demonstrated that the fulfillment of teachers in pc had An active role in the psychological and behavior of
