Abs仃actIt Abs仃act It is high time for Beijing，Tianjing，Hebei to collaborate with each other for further development．In regard of economic development，social space location and ecological environment there is an urgent requirement for Beijing—Tianjin·Hebei region to join hands together．Hebei，as a province which undertakes a lot of Beijing’S non．capital function，will hence have a s仃ong driving force to develop itself for a long period in the future．Scientific evaluation of land comprehensive carrying capacity of Hebei is an important premise and guarantee for Hebei to play its role as a province which undertakes a lot of functions． On the basis of studies and summaries of land carrying capacity the paper colligates theories both at home and abroad， including Land Resource Scarcity Theory,Land Sustainable Utilization Theory,Cask Law，Regional Industrial Layout Theory．The paper mainly uses quantitative analysis method．It analyses and studies the land carrying capacity of 1 1 prefecture—level cities of Hebei province．In consideration of development status of Hebei province，the paper,with the State Space Method，establishes evaluation system for land comprehensive carrying capacity and also evaluates resources carrying subsystems， social economy carrying subsystems，ecological environment carrying subsystems of 1 1 prefecture—level cities in Hebei． The study indicates that，in terms of natural resource subsystem capacity,every city is within its carrying capacity．So Hebei still has a great potential in natural resources；h terms social economy subsystem，every city is within its carrying capacity．So Hebei still has great potential in economy development；In terms ecological environment subsystem capacity, Shijiazhuang，Tangshan，Handan， Cangzhou，Langfang are beyond their carrying capacity，with hi曲pressure on cxological environment，other cities are within their carrying capacity；and then we got the result of the 1 1 cities’S land comprehensive capacity state， Tanshan’S land comp
