Abstract
This main objective of this thesis is to investigate the load method on soft soils, construct inspect,determination of unload time,prediction of the settlement after construction etc.when the freeway was constructed on soft soils.The engineering background of this research is the soft ground reinforcement project of the north segment of Guangzhou to zhuhai freeway.
The soft soil distribute of this project is nonhomogeneous,and the soil thickness changes greatly.The soft ground stabilized method is vertical said drain together with sand mat,and the preload is equal or exceed the embankment,or along with vacuum
load,depend on the soft soils distribution.
The field inspect system consist of data collect system,data analysis system and control system.There were 215 inspect section along the way,among the section,14 section were inspect emphasis.The field data consist of stress and strain,the stress
data conclude pore pressure,the strain conclude surface settlement,lateral
displacement.
The unload criterion usually consist of the allowable settlement after construction,
settlement velocity and the effective stress ratio.In this research,the allowable settlement after construction and settlement velocity criterion were selected simultaneously.Namely,the unload criterion is:the prediction residual settlement based on the field data is less than the allowable value,and the field settlement velocity less then 5mm/mon in continuum two moth.
The field inspect data show the settlement in the common section is less then the section near bridge,the average settlement is less then 1 0mm,the max settlement is 20.8mm,and the settlement velocity convergence is well controlled,demonstrating the
rationality and validity of the unload time in this thesis.
This thesis based on the soft ground stabilize project of the north segment of Guangzhou to zhuhai freeway,studied the embankment load method and the optimal unload time.The research result has practically
