The government is the core and plays a leading role. Whether the core of the government is approved, can role of government be played, how much can be played depend on society and the publics trust for the government, that is to say, the government credibility level. The governments credibility is an important symbol of social civilization and progress. In construction stage of economic and social development and transformation of political culture, the governments credibility plays an important role to reconcile social contradictions and alleviate conflicts; it is an important support of social benign operation, it is significant to harmony, stability and development of the whole society. This article take to build a harmonious socialist society as the breakthrough point, clarify the relationship between the socialist harmonious society and the grass-roots government credibility, this paper probes into the problems and the reasons of Chinas grass-roots government credibility at present, and explore the countermeasures to solve the problem.
