But on the other hand, another idea also is carried through that the association publications should be the most important stage to exhibit the geographic treatises. In many disciplines of natural science, the association publications have been embodied into SCI. In geography ， however, most of the association publications are classified out of SCI. Then, every geographer has to face a question, that how to choose a scientific valuation to the geographic treatises? Geography is different from mathematics, physics, biology and most of other natural science, because much of the geographic studies have to be based on the lo-cal knowledge, local culture, local context, and local geographic phenomena in particular places and times. Usually it is difficult to have a discussion smoothly about a result of geographic research between two geographers which have different geographic knowledge.
