Status and function (地位与作用)
The function of unit 4 is to discuss preferences and make
comparisons. Most students have mastered how to use the superlatives correctly after learning Section A. In section B, all the tasks are based on the topic “talent show”. It is related to students’ daily life. So I think it can raise their learning interests and improve their listening and spoken English .
Teaching aims 教学目标
Knowledge aim:
To make students know the new words and the target
sentences. Such as creative, performer……
The students should know how to use the superlatives to talk about the talent show.
Ability aim:
Students can talk about the talent show by listening.
Students can use the superlatives to make conversations.
Affection aim:
To make students learn how to work with others.
Lead students to have a good habit of enjoying shows.
Teaching key points and difficult points(教学重难点)
Key points:
Practice more superlatives while talking about the talent show.
Difficult points:
1. Take notes while listening.
2. Use the superlatives to talk about the things.
Analysis of students学情分析
Students in Grade 8 have learned many adjectives to describe things and people. But they don’t often use English to express themselves or communicate with others. Some students are not active in class.
They like to show themselves. They like the topic “talent show”.
