Teaching procedure:
Step 1 Warm up
1. Greet students as usual
2. Brainstorm
Guess the words according to the showed pictures as quickly as possible.
设计意图:阅读文章里都会有一定的新难词汇,通过快速的头脑风暴活动,能够为学生下一步的阅读中,扫除生词的障碍。
Step 2 Pre-reading
Watching the video of the talent shows.
设计意图:通过观看达人秀视频,引出本堂课的话题:达人秀。
Step 3 While-reading
1.Fast reading
While listening to MP3,read the article in 2b as quickly as possible, meanwhile, think about the following questions: Which three talent shows are mentioned?
设计意图:通过快速阅读,学生对文章大意有一定的了解,提供的这个问题,也对学生的阅读有引导作用。
2.Careful reading
The students begin to read the whole passage carefully, pay attention to the key points, and then finish the mind map.
设计意图:通过再次细读文章,学生对文章的内容了解更清楚,思维导图帮助学生理清文章大意。
Step 4 Post-reading:
Hold Class50’s got talent. Ask three students to act out one by one. Then the others give their opinions about the show.
设计意图: 让学生通过举办班级达人秀的活动,对课文的内容有更深的理解。
Step 5 Assignment
Translate the following sentence:
= 1 \* GB3 ① Everyone is good at something.
= 2 \* GB3 ② Talent shows are getting more and more popular.
= 3 \* GB3 ③ All these shows have one thing in common.
= 4 \* GB3 ④ That’s up to you to decide.
= 5 \* GB3 ⑤ However, if you don’t take these shows too seriously, they are fun to watch..
