教材分析:本课内容是Sarah的日记,主要记录小猫的成长过程。本课以小猫为例,通过日记的形式展示了小动物从出生到长大的整个生命历程,渗透生命意识和亲情教育。本节课教学重点在于阅读方法的指导、表达的训练,如何从文中获取有效信息。通过学习,能了解日记的格式,并模仿怎样来写日记。本课也重在让学生更进一步掌握序数词的用法。
教学目标:
知识、能力目标
能够听、说、读、理解kitten,fur, still 和make noises 等生词。
能根据教师提的问题读懂并理解日记,能按意群正确地朗读日记。
能根据图片提示和听录音,理解日记的含义。
能在学习过程中感受日记的格式及表达方法。
情感目标:
能理解小猫咪的成长过程。
教学重难点:
重点:读懂Sarah的日记;阅读和表达策略的培养。
难点:学生能模仿写日记,较好的掌握序数词的用法。

教学过程:
Step 1 :Greetings and free-talk:
1.T:How are you ? What’s the date today ? In last lesson, we talked about birthday, so can you tell me when is your birthday ? And your father’s/mother’s birthday?
2.Fill in the blanks.
Look at the pictures,students fill in the blanks.
Step 2:warm-up and lead in .
(1)Brain storm
(2)Enjoy a song :“The Baby Animals Song”
T:Do you like this song?You can learn it after class.We can see many animals and baby animals,.
Students look at the animals and the baby animals.
Step 3:presentation (pre-reading)
(1) lead in
T:Sarah likes animals very much. She has a cat. The cats has two babies. How do we call baby cats?
S: Kittens.
T: Sarah likes kitten very much. So she writes diaries for kittens every day..
(2)about dairy
Show the diary and read the dates.
T: Let’s see.Here are Sarah’s diaries. There are four days ,so can you read the dates ? Students read.
(3) Task 1 :Read the diaries quickly and choose the photo for every diary .
Students read and choose.
Step4: While-reading
1.The first diary.
T:look at the first photo,It’s on April 15th.Here are the kittens,
What color are they?Can they see? Students listen and answer.
2. the second/third/fourth diary
(task 2 :listen and find out how the kittens grow ?)
The second diary :
T:How old are the kittens on April 21st ?
What are they like on April 21st ?
What can they do on this day ?
3. The third diary
Listen and answer.What color are the eyes?
4. The fourth diary
listen and answer:what can the kittens do?
Fill in the blanks .
