重庆大学 重庆大学硕士学位论文 英文摘要 II II ABSTRACT Since the integration of education and temple, Confucius temple keeps its function of commemorating and becomes an important feudal ethical building for promoting Confucian culture. The material progress, spirit progress and art of inside decorations can provide uniquely values for Chinese architectural research. Confucius temple in Anshun is one of the most complete ancient building and the biggest Confucius temple in Guizhou. In addition, the temple is ‘The most delicate temple in China’, ‘The palace of stone carving art’ and ‘ The best Confucius temple in Guizhou’ reputation. Confucius temple in Anshun is a cultural symbol of Anshun, and national key cultural relics protection organization. Stone carving buildings were built in Ming frontier and carried great expectation of dominator at that time. Moreover, architectural carving inside temple shows strong culture sprit. It is artistic expression of the ancient Chinese traditional architectural technology and ethnic culture integrates into other religious culture. All sort of decorate theme and carving carrier are integrated. It reflects integration of architecture culture, folk concept, aesthetic value, Confucianism and political system. Therefore, it has deep research value. This paper aims to carving art of architecture decoration in Anshun Confucius temple. The researcher will gather and examine relevant documents and summaries architectural characteristics and carving details through field investigation, on the basis of which, the methods of systematic analysis and generalized comparison will be employed to produce a relatively systematic document, discussion and research of carving art in Anshun Confucius temple of Guizhou Province, which would lay a theoretical basis for future research on it.
