Study on the Process of Producing Heptahydrated Zinc Sulfate ，
Crude Tin and Crude Lead from Tin Smelting Dust

Abstract :A process of producing heptahydrated zinc sulfate ，crude tin and crude lead from smelting
tin dust is discussed． The process consists of three steps． First ，by leaching zinc from smelting tin
dust with dilute sulphuric acid ，heptahydrated zinc sulfate is produced from the leaching solution．
Second ，smelting Sn-Pb alloys are obtained from the tin-rich slag． At last ，the Sn-Pb alloys are
separated by a high temperature vacuum distillation technique to produce crude tin and crude lead．
This process is proved to be highly efficient in the comprehensively recovery of metals such as Sn ，
Pb ，Zn and Cu． More than 94 % of zinc and 96% of tin and lead can be re
