汉英词典词目翻译研究摘要 汉英词典词目翻译研究 摘要 舣语词典编纂历史悠久，时逾千年。中国的汉英词典编纂经历了二个历史阶段：西方神 叭人员编纂时期(1815——1911)，国人草创时删(1912——1977)，国人白编时期(1978 ——)。目前，国内双语辞典研究侧重丁英汉词典，相比之ri2．英词典研究尚属薄弱环“1y。 汉英词典研究的广度和深度肯待加强，研究人员有待增加。 水文概述了汉英词典词目翻译的现状，简要回顾了国内外翻译理论，并讨论了词典翻译 剐文学翻泽的火系，总结了词典翻译的特点。笔者认为词典翻译不同于文1、≯翻泽。词舆翻泽 iL兀语境可青，其处理对象人多为独立词条，或意义组台。双语词媳的目的是在目的语中找 剑原礁的对应涮。从而决定了词目翻译的重点是语言翻译而不是言语翻泽。文学翻译中的丰 粜信哒雅庄词口翻湃中的应瑚受到限制。作者认为词典词日翻译成遵循以r标准：准确，简 明，地道，全面。词I==J翻泽中除了一些科技术语手¨固际词，很难找到绝对对应词。词典编纂 扮凶绷退而求其玖，通过其他方式提供部分列应词。论文第四部分专f J讨论了提供对应词的 几种常川乃法，主要足：对麻词，增词法，音泽法，回泽法，意译法，沿境建构法(例讧E法)， ¨E义或解秆法，解释加幽片法。 关键浏：议英词典，词目翻译，对应词 A A Study of Chinese—English Dictionary Entry Translation Abstract The history of bilingual dictionary can date back thousands of years．China saw three stages in Chinese—English dictionary compiling：western missionary compilers dominant period(1815——1911)，western and Chinese compilers coexistent period (1912—1977)，Chinese compilers dominant period(1978一一)．Research Off bilingual dictionary in China is mainly concerned with English·Chinese dictionary． Much is to be desired in research Off Chinese-English dictionary． In this thesis，starting from a general survey of entry translation in Chinese—English dictionary，then a brief review Off the translation theory at home and abroad．the author attempts to establish criteria for entry translation in C—E dictionary and Duts forward some methods for entry translation．The author believes that entry translalion is different from literature translation．Entry translation is tO find the equivalent in the target language for the entry in the source language．Entries in a bi lingual dictionary are free of context except some illustrations which may have minor contexts．Entry translation is translation of langue rather than parole．The priority of entry translation is finding the equivalent or equivalents．In contrast to the three standards(faithfulness，smoothness and elegance)proposed by Yan Fu in literature translation，translation of entry can be judged by these four criteria，namely
