ABSTRACTHui ABSTRACT Hui gu is a nomadic tribes activities in north China in ancient． uighur script is the kind of Uighur people’S character which was to record the ancient Uighur language text from 8AD to 1 5AD．Huihe is the ancestors of today’S Uighur and Yugu．They has been named the Uighur people in the Chinese historical records．In history．Huihe had faith in Manichaeism，Buddhism，Nestorian，Islam and other religions and Buddhism impacted on them greatly． ’Altun yaruq”translated from Chinese translation by Yi Jing in Tang． In the Uygur translation there are many features of minority national languages，and the using of derivational words is one of most outstanding features．This paper is based on modern Uyghur translation by Tursun， Ayouf’S，Matriyim’S from Radloff type text．Mainly in this paper descriptive linguistics method，etymological method and ancient Sino—Uygur contrastive analysis are used．The research includes defining，type，structure and feature of derivational words in Uygur “GOlden Light Sutra．This paper is divided to five parts to pursue derivational words in Uygur‘Altun yaruq’’： Part I：Introduction，talking about Uygur’Altun yaruq”and the translator Master Shengguang，the value of academic papers，research trends，the main research methods． Part II：The basic issues of derivational words in yaruq，including yaruq，including the definition of derivational words．Research about structure types of derivational words is divided to two parts，as research about the derivational words from root and about derivational words from stems． Part III：Research of word—formation affix structure types，based on two parts，as monosyllabic and polysyllabic affixes． Part IV：Discussion about additional elements of word formation of nouns，verbs，adjectives，numerals，pronouns，adverbs in‘Altun yaruq”． Part V=Conclusions from structure types of derivational words， word—formational affixes，additional elements on this paper． Study of features and structure of derivational words in the ancien
