Teaching aims
a) Get the students to be familiar with some kinds of movies and their plurals such as “comedy-comedies, thriller-thrillers, action movie-action movies, documentary-documentaries, cartoon-cartoons, Beijing Opera…”
b) Get the students to master the usage of want and its questions as well as answers, such as Do you want to go to a movie? Yes, I do. / No, I dont.
Does he/she want to go to a movie? Yes, he/she does. / No, he/she doesnt.
I want to see a/an... / I dont want to see a/an…
He/She wants to see a/an... / He/She doesnt want to see a/an...
2a) Get the students to talk about their favourite movies, such as I like ...s and ...s.
b) Enable students to ask other peoples favourite movies, such as What kind of movies do you like?

a) Arouse the students’ interests in talking about favourite kinds of movies.
b) Develop students’ sense of appreciating posters and awareness of using English to express their own opinions.
