In recent years in the domestic and international fashion design stage, designers have absorbed and referred to Mongolian traditional culture in the design and the fashionable element with Mongolian traditional culture formed a kind of agitation. At the same time, in the fashion design it been found to make many blind following suit and derivative phenomenon, such works designed is no value and without innovation. Only through traditional mastering Mongolian culture, more reasonable and more effective application can be used in the fashion design. Mongolian traditional patterns can be divided into ancient totem, cave painting，patterns, callygraphy, and ornament patterns , these patterns are through the observation of external things, to express their love of nature, longing for a better life and creative vision for the future, it is also under the influence of Mongolian culture and historical background of this long history of aesthetic value and cultural connotation of the pattern, but also for the creation of the today we all fields left rich design material and design language. Mongolian traditional patterns focus on the expression of cultural meaning, its graceful lines, colorful, as a design element, is widely used in various design fields, such as architectural design, graphic design, interior design, product design and fashion design field, in these are as the pattern application form, but can show the charm of Mongolian traditional elements pattern art.
