IV IV Relying on the project of a certain province, this dissertation mainly elaborated the design and implementation of an integrated NMS for Golden Shield Network. Firstly, it analyzed the current status of network management’s development, combined with the particularity of public security organs and emphasized the significance of developing this NMS. Secondly, the dissertation covered the network management technology and web service technology. After analyzing and comparing several NMS architecture models, the dissertation proposed a scalable, extensible and hierarchal NMS architecture model based on web service, whose structure and interaction are also detailed. Thirdly, the dissertation analyzed the policy of the implementation of the NMS and deeply studied the principle and intent of various design patterns. Furthermore, the dissertation elaborated the usage of these design patterns during developing the network-elements-discovering module and the network-services-discovering module. Then, the dissertation also deeply studied the specification of web service, and described the design and implementation of the critical web service interface, based on which the running status info of entire network could be obtained. Finally, the dissertation introduced the deployment of the NMS in Golden Shield Network of a certain province, focusing on the deployment diagram and the configuration’s tuning of the NMS. According to the trial operation of the NMS, it suggested that the PAGE PAGE VI system adapted to the structure of Golden Shield Network. And it provided a better solution to resolve the low-efficiency issues occurring in the management of Golden Shield Network.
