Abstract Stonn surge is a huge marine dis制ter. China faces the Pacific Ocean. Chinas long coastline and numerous wa阳rs provide good natural conditions for its economic prosperity. But， these natural conditions also make China one of the countries which are vulnerable ωstorm surge disωter in the world. Because of the favorable natural ωnditions in coastal areas，social and economic development is fi制， population and ωciety 如 highly concentrated. If there will be a 悦。nn surge，the damage will be 地 serious. It is a matter of great significance for human survival and development ω 、 耐engthen a greater research on the integrated physical mechanism， the development of stonn surges and the method ωforec部t stonn surges exactly. The difficulty in the research on stonn surges is that the 悦。，nn surge is a no盼 linear phenomenon. By the ωupling efIe创 between the stonn s山ge and the astronomical tide，挺is more difficuh to make an aωurate solution ω 伽.e stonn s町ge. In this paper，the author made 由e approx.imate expression of the sωnn surge by using thepar创n创ric perturbation method，and got some use臼1 conclusions. In创dition， a parametric perturbation method Wiωintroduced in this paper.ηús method can eliminate the secular expansions. In orderωexplain the integrated physical mechanism of 伽.e stonn surge clearly，we put those various factors that afIect the storm surge in order of importance. Without afIecting the essence，we simplified the system of equations. Then ，we got the approximate expressions ofthe water level and the speed of 由.e flow field by using the parametric perturbation method. 仙1the basis ofthe appro到mate expressions ，we analyzed the coupling efIect and various physical parameters afIecting the storm surge.ηle approximate expressions in this paper 即e a simple and accura阳.And the conclusions in this paper are consistent with the coupling efIect between the storm surge and the astronomical tide.ηlose resuhs can provide referencesωtes
