The patients in the experimental group were given CMD, two times a day, five days a week for two weeks. Those in the control group were given equal amount of starch paste with sugar and honey. The experiment lasted for two weeks. Lymphocyte proliferation activity and the apoptosis rate, serum level of malondialdehyde (MDA) and tumor necrosis factor αwere examined on the first and last day of the experiment.ResultsThe differences of lymphocyte proliferation activity, lymphocyte apoptosis rate and serum level of MDA between the two groups after radiotherapy were significantly different (t=3.95-49.98,P0.05).ConclusionThe Chinese medicined diet has protective effect on the lymphocyte damage and lipid oxidation of cancer patient caused by radiotherapy. ［KE
