The results showed that the group undergoing 12 days of starvation had the lowest survival rate during the starvation, and the shortest shell length and lowest total weight after the starvation. These results showed a greater degree of starvation had a significantly negative effect on the growth and survival of pearl oyster. Juvenile pearl oysters in this study showed compensatory growth following different starvation periods. The group after 9 days of starvation exhibited the greatest growth rate, while the group after 3 days of starvation had the lowest growth rate; but no significant differences were found among the four
