Rural public products are almost ones-to-be, and Rural Coopera--tive Medical System (CMS) works as a concern with numerous farmers’ health and living, which sets a best model for perfecting the rural public products. CMS received an international widespread admiration because it ever offered the basic medical sanitary service. However, along with the implementation of “Policy of Reform and Opening-up” and “The Household Contract Responsibility System”, the rural medical service became excessively market-oriented and made this system go toward decline.This article overall reviews the transition course of Rural Cooperative Medical System (CMS) in our country.
