PAGE PAGE 1 Period 1 Learning Poems Unit 2 Poems , Module 6 说课稿 Introduction: Good morning, everyone! Today I am very pleased to have the opportunity to tell you about some of my teaching ideas. My topic is the first period: Learning Poems of Unit 2 Poems. This topic will be divided into eight parts. I Teaching material Background knowledge and new curriculum, new teaching material This unit surrounds the topic “Poems” to develop all the teaching activities including listening, speaking , reading and writing. Chinese Poems are quite familiar to Ss while English poems are quite strange and difficult in most Ss’mind. So this topic is to let Ss go into the world of English Poems and develop interest. The content varies from first knowing, talking about why people write poems and some basic knowledge about poems(kinds, characteristics) . This lesson focuses on two kinds of poems: nursery rhymes and list poems. It is hoped that through this unit Ss initially know poems and master the basic common sense of the literature forms, therefore Ss can write some simple poems. The language material are involved in Chinese and foreign poems so that Ss can get to know foreign culture to develop the sense of the world. Just as the new curriculum suggests: Studying poems is beneficial for widening Ss’culture field of vision and develop Ss’multi-cultural sense and ability. II Teaching Aims:   According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus , after studying the teaching material and analyzing the rule of students growing of mind, I think the teaching aims are the followings: 1. Knowledge objects: a. Important words and phrases poem, recite, aspect, rhyme, rhythm, nursery rhyme, diamond, endless, branch, translation, transform, joy, anger, make up of b. Important sentences If I had one million yuan, I would… If I were …, I would… C. Enable students to learn 2 kinds of poems: nursery rhymes (童谣) and list poems (列举诗) 2. Ability objects: a.
