Unit 1 My mame’s Gina Book1 in Grade7 The Fifth Period Self Check By Wang Qin(王勤) Knowledge aims知识目标 Get the students to go over all the new words and expressions. Have the students to review the grammar: Special Guestions(Ⅰ). Ability aims 能力目标 Students grasp the important language points in this unit by talking and writing. Emotional aims 情感目标 1.Develop the students’ good habit of using English. 2.Strength the students’ spirit of teamwork. Important points 重点 1.Go over and consolidate the new words and expressions of this unit. 2.Do the extra exercises in order to develop students’ ability of using the knowledge they have learnt. Difficult points 难点 Get the students to turn what they have learnt into their ability. Teaching approaches教学方法 Summarizing, working in pairs and competing. Teaching aids 教具 A small blackboard, some ID cards made by the students themselves. Teaching course 教学过程 Step 1 Key word check 1.Go through 1 together. Read and check√ the words they know . I say, If you don’t know any words, put up your hand, please, I would like to help you. 2. If students know all the words , pass quickly. Step 2 Building vocabulary Ask students to write 5-10 new words in their notebook without their books. Get one boy and one girl to write down 5 new words on the blackboard. Check or share the words on the backboard . Step 3 Identifying persons Finish 3 First,I read the instruction .Then get students to complete 3 by themselves. Ask students to think of two classmates, one a boy and one a girl. Have them write classmates’ details in the charts. Check the answers. But answers will vary. Step 4 Just for Fun Get all the students to read the conversation . And discuss where the humor comes from . The name sounds funny. I’d like to draw a jagged line on the board and explain that this kind of line is called a “zigzag” line. Step 5 Consolidation Do the extra exercises Show the small blackboard , ask students to do the exercises by competition be
