Lesson14 Work hard! .Teaching Objectives and Demands: 1.Student can understand read say and practice the dialogue of this lesson . 2.Student can understand read say and practice the drill: How many minutes do you___? 3.Student can u nderstand read and say the following phrases: wash clothes, watch TV, read books, play sports and do your homeword. 二.The Importance and The Difficult point: The importance: Practice the drill. The difficult point: Practice the dialogue. .Teaching Aids: some pictures, some vocabulary cards and one tape-recorder .Allocation of time: one course .Teaching steps: Step 1.Organizing the teaching 1.Greetings 2.Say the chant “Everyone”. Step 2. Revision Review “minutes”“hours”“days”“weeks”“months”and “years”with a game. Ask for a volunteer to recite the words in order as the teacher point to them. Step 3.Key concepts: high  low  homework Introduce: a.Demonstrate “high”“low ”with actions. Use objects the Ss know and hold them high and low. Ask for volunteers to do some actions. b.Use a puppet to demonstrate “homework”. Give the puppet some “homework”to do. Act out a dialogue with the puppet and then act one out with a volunteer. (To the puppet) This evening, please write a story. Bring your story to school tomorrow. The story is your homework. P:Okay! I am going to work hard on my homework. Is it time to go home? T:Yes!It’s ___ (time). See you tomorrow. 2.Student book : a.Play the audiotape as the Ss follow along their books. 3.Practice: Divide the class into small groups. Ask each group to make a living picture for “working hard”at school, sports or home. .Students’activit y: 1.
