Improving reading skills, such as skimming, scanning, close reading and summarizing. 教学过程 一、热身环节 1. 视频导入（Warming--Up） 教师活动：播放视频“The top five inventions”，让学生回答问题： What can you learn from the video? 学生活动：观看视频，回答问题。 设计意图：自然导入，创设情境，激发兴趣，认识发明对的意义，去除学生对发明的神秘感，为以下学习进行预热。 2. 图片引深 (Warming-Up) 教师活动：展示课本Warming-Up中的三张关于发明和发现的图片，提出问题： Which shows inventions and which shows discoveries? 然后让学生小组讨论： What is a discovery and what is an invention 学生活动：初步判断，回答问题；小组讨论，明确发现和发明的区别。 设计意图：激活学生已有知识，激发学生阅读探究兴趣。 二、读前环节（Pre-reading） 教师活动：提供发明家为了让其发明得到认可所必须通过的六个程序（打乱顺序），要求学生调整其先后顺序来预测一项发明产生的过程。 学生活动：进行预测。 设计意图：引导学生调动知识储备，积极预测，激发学生阅读动机。 三、读中环节 1. 略读找大意（skimming） 教师活动：①指导学生带着问题快速浏览全文并检验预测。 ②提出问题： What is the main idea of the passage? 学生活动：扫读全文，检验预测；概括文章大意。 设计意图：训练学生略读能力，快速把握文章大意。 找读知框架（scanning） 教师活动：指导学生按照发明家为了让其发明得到认可所必须通过的六个正确程序阅读，并划分段落，确定段落大意。 学生活动：找读文章，并划分段落，确定段落大意。 设计意图：训练学生找读能力，通过了解文章结构及各部分大意，对文章进行宏观把握。 分段阅读找细节（Close Reading） 教师活动：提出问题，指导学生阅读细节，捕捉文章关键信息。 学生活动：深入阅读，独立思考，展示答案，理解质疑。 设计意图：训练学生细读能力，引导学生关注细节，微观探寻。培养学生获取和处理信息，理解逻辑关系，归纳总结的阅读技能。 Read paragraph by paragraph Part1 Why was the writer happy to help her mother ?
