Case name: FIRST AID (Unit 5, Book5)
Designs about the first part lead in
1. Analysis of teaching content:
The topic of this unit is First Aid. This case mainly explains how to carry out the introduction. Through pictures and teachers explanation, students can get a preliminary understanding of relevant first aid knowledge, establish students safety awareness, and can calmly take measures when encountering similar situations in life.
2. Learning objectives:
(1) Knowledge goal: understand some emergency situations that may exist around you, and master some basic first aid methods.
(2) Ability goal: express your thoughts to the whole class by observing pictures and combining group discussions. This can cultivate students ability to summarize information, organize and use language.
(3) Moral Education Goals: give full play to team spirit to discuss first aid methods in different situations, and conduct actual combat drills.
3. Analysis of learners:
The learning objects are high school students who have a certain foundation in language organization and expression. The topic of this unit is closely related to life, and students are familiar with this topic. Therefore, students have more opportunities to think and express themselves based on this characteristic.
4. Selection and Design of Teaching Strategies
The introduction mainly focuses on attracting students interest, which can be directly connected with the topic of the unit. Through the use of media and the arrangement of group activities, students’personal presentations can have a full play throughout the whole process.
5. Teaching Key and difficult points:
(1) Teaching key points: help students diversify their thinking and express appropriately in English.
(2) Teaching difficult points:
1). Stimulate students interest in learning and the ability to solve problems.
2). Master basic first aid knowledge.
3). Master English expressions related to first aid.
