Department of Radiology， The Third Affiliated Hospital，Sun Yat-sen Univeity， Guangzhou 510630， China　　Abstract： 【Objective】 To evaluate the CTVE images of sellar floor and their applicatio to traphenoidal pituitary surgery. 【Methods】 In 119 cases of traphenoidal pituitary surgeries， the CTVE images of sphenoid sinus were recotructed with the presurgical CT data at workstation， and then the sellar floo depicted on images were investigated. 【Results】 CTVE could display the sellar floo in a three-dimeional mode. In 119 cases of sphenoid sinus， CTVE could display 96 cases(%) of prominent sellar bulge and 22 cases (%) of eroded sellar floor. The underlying enhanced carotid arteries and some pituitary glands could be observed by trafer functio design for volume rendering. 【Conclusion】 CTVE can depict the superfical anatomical landmarks， the underlying carotid arteries and some pituitary tissues of sellar floor in a three-dimeional mode. CTVE can be a valuable tool for traphenoidal pituitary surgery for depicting the variatio of sellar floor， making preoperative planning， identifying the intraoperative anatomies and making a precise bone window of sellar floor during surgery。 Key words： CT virtual endoscopy; pituitary adenoma; traphenoidal approach; sellar floor 垂体瘤经蝶手术具有高治愈率、低并发症的优点，目前已成为垂体瘤手术的首选术式[1-2]。术前常规的CT及MRI检查，使经蝶手术的术前计划更加精确，并发症进一步减低[3]。然而常规的CT及MRI影像资料，只能提供有关垂体及蝶窦的断层解剖二维图像，与术中所见的三维图像有一定的区别。手术者只能通过“主观”的想象来
