Methods 308 patients were divided into two groups randomly: the ozone treatment group(n=156) and the sodium hyaluronate treatment group(n=152). The clinical therapeutic effect and improvement of symptoms of the patients in both groups were observed respectively. Results ①Comparison of recent clinical therapeutic efficacy: the total effective rate of ozone treatment group was %; the total effective rate of the sodium hyaluronate treatment group was %. There was significant statistical difference between both groups in total effective rate(χ2=，P＜).There was significant statistical difference between both groups in clinical cure rate and markedly effective rate(χ2= and ，P＜).②Comparison of improvement of symptoms of both groups: after two coues of treatment，there was significant statistical difference between the scores of local swelling，local pain and limited knee mobility in the ozone treatment group(P＜).③There was significant statistical difference between both groups in therapeutic efficacy on pain and swelling(P＜).④Long-term therapeutic efficacy: there was significant statistical difference between both groups in terms of advee reactio and occurrence rate of sequela(P＜) Conclusion Ozone has a good therapeutic effect on traumatic synovitis of knee joints and is a safe and effective method. 【Key words】 Synovitis of k
