Methods The cervical exfoliated cell specime of 7258 adult women were collected in General Hospital of Huabei Petroleum Administration from January 2014 to November 2015， then high-risk HPV qualitative detection and typing were performed by low-through hybridization and gene chip technology， a statistical analysis combined with ages was conducted. Results Among 7258 specime， 1295 specime were found with positive high-risk HPV， the positive rate was 17.8%； among different age groups， the infection rate in women more-than-50-year-old was the highest （22.7%）， followed by 30-40 yea （18.7%）， 40-50 yea （16.9%）， 30-40 yea （16.0%）， there were statistically significant differences between different groups （χ2=23.99， P 30-40 was the least （23.4%）， there were statistically significant differences between different groups （χ2=15.46， P 0.01）. Conclusion Womens age is a factor in the progress of HPV infection and the genotype distribution. Age facto should be taken into coideration in HPV screening and prevention strategies.
