Turn the e2695 Separations Module on. 2. Press the Menu/Status key to access the Status screen and check to make sure the solvent flow is off and there is no backpressure in the system. Removing the Syringe 1. Open the syringe compartment door. 2. Remove the knurled knob from the end of the syringe plunger (Figure 1). Figure 1 - Removing the Knurled Knob 3. Press the Menu/Status key to return to the Main menu, then press the Diagnostics screen key. Replacing the Syringe REV. A 2 OF 5 4. Press the Other Tests screen key and select Motors Valves from the list of available tests (Figure 2). Figure 2 - selecting Motors and Valves Diagnostic 5. Press the arrow keys to select V3. 6. Verify that valve V3 is open. If not, press any numeric key to switch the valve to the open position (Figure 3). Figure 3 - Valve 3 Position 7. Select the Syringe Position field, then press Enter to display the drop-down list. 8. Select Full. With the knurled nut removed, the plunger tip remains pointed upward as the mounting bracket is lowered. 9. When the mounting bracket is fully lowered, unscrew the syringe from the syringe drive mounting block and remove the syringe from the compartment. Replacing the Syringe REV. A
