Unit 5 How old are you教学设计(Story time)-三年级英语下册同步备课 译林版(三起) 一、教学目标 1.掌握句型:How old are you?及其回答。 2.能够听懂、会读和会说12个数字。 3.能够用所学数字和句型询问他人年龄,并自我介绍自己的年龄。 4.提高学生英语听、说、读、写的综合能力。 5.学习英语歌曲和对话,激发学生学习英语的兴趣。 二、教学准备 1.教学课件。 2.单词卡片、数字卡片、句型卡片。 3.英语歌曲的音频/视频资料。 4.课件中的短片段和图片资料。 三、教学流程 Step 1 Greetings and warm-up Greet students and ask some of them about their age. T: Hello, everyone. How are you today? S1: I’m fine, thank you. And you? T: I’m fine, too. How old are you, Daniel? S1: I’m eight. Quickly review the numbers that students have learned: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve Teacher sings the song “How old are you?” with the students. Step 2 Presentation Show the pictures of children and ask “How old are you?” The students need to answer the question, then the teacher clicks on the picture to show the answer. Learn the new sentence pattern “How old are you?” and its response “I’m __”. T: Do you remember how to say “How old are you?”? Ss: How old are you? T: That’s right. Now, let’s learn the response. Look at my picture. How old am I? Ss: You are… T: Yes. I’m twenty-five. So we can say “How old are you?” and you can say “I’m…”. Let’s practice. Ask students to practice using the numbers and the sentence pattern with their partners. Step 3 Story time Introduce the story of “The Little Mermaid” with the help of pictures and short video clips. Explain the meaning of some words that may appear in the story. Have the students watch the story video. Step 4 Post-story discussion Ask the following questions to check students’ understanding of the story: T: What is the story about? Ss: The story is about a mermaid who is curious about the world above the water. She falls in love with a human prince and wants to become human. T: Very good. Who is the main character in the story? Ss: The main character is the Little Mermaid. T: What happened to the Little Mermaid in the end? Ss: She turned into foam and became a spirit of the air. Ask students to discuss
