coloncancer.Ofallpossiblesitesofrecurrence,peritonealmetastasesareassociatedwithworsesurvival.Ouraimwas

toreporttheincidenceofmetachronousperitonealmetastasesfromacohortofpatientsundergoingresectionofobstruc-

tivecoloncancerwithcurativeintentandtoidentifypredictivefactorsformetachronousperitonealmetastases.MethodsMethods

From2000to2015,atotalof2,325patientsweretreatedforobstructivecoloncancerinFrenchsurgicalcenters,mem-

bersoftheFrenchNationalSurgicalAssociation(AFC).Patientswithpalliativemanagement,synchronousmetastaticdis-

ease,andwithpostoperativemortalitywereexcluded.Amultivariateanalysiswasperformedtodetermineindependent

predictivefactorsofmetachronousperitonealmetastases.ResultsResultsThecohortincluded1,085patients.Themedianfollow-

upwas21.5months.Metachronousperitonealmetastasesoccurredin12%ofpatientsandwerediagnosedafterame-
